Where extraordinary
begins

Welcome,

First I would like to congratulate you on your curiosity and commitment towards growing and creating experiences where you and those around you can shine.

Here you will find simple strategies, concepts and techniques to
greatly increase the joy and fulfillment of  your riding and/or coaching journey.

I have helped countless riders all over the globe develop the mindset that has propelled them to achieving their goals faster, easier and with much more understanding than they ever thought possible.

Whether you are looking to compete in your first competition, develop the confidence to get back in to riding after 10 yrs off or have National Team Selection in your sights, I can help you find your way.

Through working with me you will:
  • Develop the Emotional Intelligence and Clarity to be "who" you need to be at any given time to create the environment and experience you are wanting to achieve
  • Develop the understanding around how our beliefs are formed and how they influence us throughout the day. Using that understanding you will shape any negative subconscious beliefs into ones that will life your confidence and courage to take the step needed to perform at your highest potential
  • Become familiar with your own daily rituals and learn to leave behind those that aren't serving you and replace them with empowering rituals. Ones that will exponentially grow your purpose and ability to commit to the big picture goals with certainty.
  • Learn how to manage anxiety and fear. Understand how out thoughts affect our emotions, how our emotions affect our chemical balance in the body, and how those chemicals affect our choices, and ultimately how those choices affect not only our results but either confirm or put into question the beliefs and thoughts that got you where you are in the first place. You will become so attuned to your body's thought process that you will be able to stop the cycle before the anxiety kicks in and change your thought into ones that will nurture focus and effective action.
  • Have the courage to look openly and honestly at where you are currently,  and where you truly want to go. Knowing that someone is there who has your back, who has your best intentions at heart and wants to see you grow into your best version of you.

There are three paths you can take from here.
Grow your Confidence
If you are looking to grow your confidence and take action towards something you have been procrastinating on
Grow your coaching skills
If you are currently a coach or parent and want to understand your riders better as well as gain valuable exercises, games and strategies to increase the results in your riders
Get the mental edge
If you are a high performing athlete who is looking for the mental edge to lift the standard of their game

Annyka Overton
Life, Minset and Equestrian Coach

Annyka is a Life, Mindset and Equestrian Coach who has worked within the education industry, in both Primary and Secondary Schools for over 15 years. As an Equestrian Coach she has worked with riders from the young and fearful to International level as Chef de'quip and Coach of the Australian Team at the Penang International Horse Show in 2015.
Annyka works with a wide range of clients, from High Performance Rugby Referee's, CEO's of emerging companies, highly functional individuals coping with anxiety, trauma and addiction issues and Elite Athletes.

One of Annyka's many passions, is working with young children and their families on the spectrum of Autism and ADHD, helping provide an inspirational and educational role in the creative design of strategies to help these beautiful people cope with daily life. Understanding the various needs and emotional boundries of different learners offers an often entertaining and quirky way of looking at learning.

As a trainer and competitor of Eventers and Show Jumpers, her experience in high level competition both in Australia and overseas, and the education of young horses has been hugely beneficial in understanding the needs of all emotional learners, both two legged and four legged. As a Natural Horsemanship Clinician, Annyka understands the innate characteristics and behavioral patterns that lead to high performance in any equine discipline.

Annyka has recently written her first book "Engaging the Child Rider" and is currently writing her second, aimed at
aiding parents and coaches to best understand their children's physical and emotional needs, offering many strategies to help the "whole bubble" (horse, rider, parent and coach) to develop a strategic and functional relationship that meets the needs of all involved. Her way of looking at things is that we all need a little bit of love, imagination, humility, focus, and a whole lot of grit!

I couldn't ask for a better coach for my children. Annyka is able to meet my children at their level, and work with them in finding their next level of better. Her enthusiasm, positivity and ceativity allow my children to find solutions, keeping their confidence and well as their horses. In my own lessons, Annyka uses the same skills, whilst allowing for my pattern of asking lots of questions. Annyka can adjust her language to help explain concepts, tanslating that into practice.

My sessions with Annyka over the past six weeks have been personally challenging but yet rewarding. I am now addressing the negative behaviours that had prevented me from achieving life gaols. With the key learnings from the last six weeks, I have been able to identify my life focus areas and select achievable goals in each of these areas. I am learning new skills to change my behaviour to ensure that I remain focused and on track with my training, work and life balance. I now have a renewed positivity and drive to achieve my goals and undertake daily activities. Annyka has provided me with the tools to do this - Cath Little. Annyka always finds an interesting and fun way to get through a problem. she is engaging and optimistic, and she asks questions and helps us find the answer before just being told. Annyka has helped me ride bteer and even helped me enjoy it more than I already do

Having had a long break from riding I decided to get back into riding so started taking lessons from Annyka I have found her approach just what I needed on both a personal level and as a riding coach . I had suffered from depression and was generally struggling with life. So to get back on a horse and go competing was a huge challenge both mentally and physically . Annyka’s method of teaching helped me look at my own personal issues that have been holding me back for many years. I honestly don’t think I would have overcome the barriers I was putting up in front of me if I had not chosen Annyka as a coach. I look forward to continue on this journey with further lessons in the future. Bec Nolan

I find Annyka personally very good as a trainer as she picks up on many things in which I did not notice. When she picks up on these things it improves my overall rididng and makes me a far better rider than I could have imagined. She picks up on many major problems in which I never noticed such as my rising diagonals, and then helped me through the problem by not doing it for me, but helps me work it out for myself. I like the teaching style of hers a lot. She's also really good as she asks me questions about the problem to help me work it out. Another thing, I find this technique very helpful and thoughtful as it makes me feel more confident as a rider. The techniques Annyka uses are very effective, and make me an overall better rider.

Annyka is always available for those tricky situations we can’t work our way out of or for the encouraging words that you need to keep going.  The combination of her simple instructions at every lesson is soo beneficial for growing minds like my daughter who currently receives regular lessons from Annyka. Her confidence has grown so much since sticking with Annyka and she is now able to help her horses and communicate on a level few understand but admire.  I encourage all those fortunate enough to attend one of Annyka’s many clinics and take advantage of all the opportunities that present themselves in the equine world - Tania Haling.
