Jumping with confidence Clinic

This clinic is designed to create a space where each rider is able to apply skills and techniques to push past any mental boundries that may have been holding them back in the past. It is where we celebrate what is working well and look towards what is required to get to what we are wanting to achieve.

In each session you will find a group of like minded individuals who understand how you are feeling and where you are at. There are no judgements as everyone has come from a place of curiosity, a little bit of uncertainty and a lot of trust. My job is to support you and your horse, and give you the tools to produce calm, confident and relaxed jumping rounds with just enough challenge to excite that little piece of you that runs back to the family saying "Yee haa". You wouldn't believe what I did today

Each session (9am to 12pm) will include:
  • Basic flatwork relaxation techniques to connect and engage the horse with us
  • Discussion on horses learning styles, confidence thresholds and how we as riders can adapt our riding to influence and improve these
  • Poles and exercises designed to improve horses body placement and understanding of jumping
  • Rider exercises, core strengthening and body positioning to allow for smooth and balanced jumping positions
  • Mindset coaching to free the body of any mental blocks, and to learn strategies to train the mind to work with the body towards effortless jumping
  • Small jumps with adventurous and interesting twists to push both horse and riders fun buttons.

"Having had a long break from riding I decided to get back into it so started taking lessons from Annyka. I have found her approach just what I needed on both a personal level and as a riding coach . I had suffered from depression and was generally struggling with life. So to get back on a horse and go competing was a huge challenge both mentally and physically . Annyka’s method of teaching helped me look at my own personal issues that have been holding me back for many years. I honestly don’t think I would have overcome the barriers I was putting up in front of me if I had not chosen Annyka as a coach. I look forward to continue on this journey with further lessons in the future."

Annyka has coached the Australian Team in Jumping competitions internationally with both PCA and Equestrian Australia and is a qualified mindset and Neuro Linguistic Programming Coach who has a life long passion for bringing out the best in both horse and human through compassion, understanding and inspiration.

Thank you so much for a fabulous workshop yesterday.
I definitely discovered muscles to use riding that I have never used before.
The workshop gave great foundations that helped change ingrained behaviors that have not worked and by being more aware of my core and other muscles as well as overall position I was able to change my riding technique and see a direct correlation to my jumping ability. My horse( Arrow ) ) is now able to give me direct feedback when I do not apply my new skills. A pig root after a jump is a clear indication when I have not applied my new skills approaching and departing a jump. This direct feedback has made me want to change my previous jump position to get a free jumping horse that will work will me for difficult obstacles and indirect lines.
The workshop principles can be applied to all manner of horses. I was able to watch Jess’s hot horse and see how the ideas learnt In The workshop can apply to different temperaments in different horses. The workshop gave us tools to use on different horses and made us more aware of natural favoritism of our horses and of us as riders.
Thank you for my lesson with Roany a completely different horse but the principles still apply and now I am more aware of these ideas I can be a calmer rider.
The workshop gave lots of individual attention to each rider but those principles could be applied to different horses if you had the same issue with another horse.
Thanks for a great day riding
Kind Regards Shara Menzies
